Before you get started

Before completing this application form, please make sure you have read the King Rocks Wind Farm Community Benefit Fund Guideline to make sure your organisation and initiative are eligible and you meet the grant criteria.

Your organisation must be located within the Shire of Kondinin, with preference given to activities and organisations within the 6359 postcode.

Please allow sufficient time to complete the application and save your information regularly. Remember that if you are successful, information you include in the application form will be required for your acquittal, so please take the time to ensure you understand each section. Incomplete applications and/or applications received after the closing date will not be considered.

Synergy accepts applications from:

  • registered charities (ACNC) that are not unincorporated associations; or
  • not-for-profit incorporated entities (e.g. incorporated associations and companies); or
  • social enterprises (with Social Trader Certification) that are not unincorporated associations

Synergy will not accept applications from:

  • Unincorporated associations (unless auspiced by an eligible organisation)
  • Federal, state or local governments
  • Individuals or families 
  • Commercial/for-profit businesses - social enterprises may apply
  • Political parties or unions 
  • Public, private or independent schools - associations may apply 

King Rocks Wind Farm Community Benefit Fund is unable to support:

  • Initiatives that take place outside of the Shire of Kondinin
  • Initiatives that have already been delivered 
  • Political or religious activities or pursuits 
  • Organisation’s maintenance and/or operational costs  
  • Organisations or initiatives that discriminate based on origin, age, race, religion, gender, ability or diversity 
  • Organisations or initiatives that are environmentally harmful or do not undertake sustainable practices 
  • Organisations or initiatives that promote gambling or alcohol-related sponsorships 
  • Activities which provide a financial benefit to Synergy employees or contractors 
  • Organisations or initiatives that expose Synergy to known reputational, financial or safety risks

Confirmation of eligibility

 I confirm that the applicant:

  • has read and understands the King Rocks Wind Farm Community Benefit Fund Guideline
  • is located in and delivers initiatives within the Shire of Kondinin
  • is a registered charity with ACNC, or a not-for profit, or a social enterprise with Social Traders certification
  • is incorporated, or is auspiced by an incorporated organisation for the purposes of this application
  • is able to demonstrate financial viability 
  • does not owe any acquittal report to Synergy as a result of previous funding or grants
  • has an Australian Business Number (ABN)
  • has the appropriate type and level of insurance for the activities that are the subject of this application
  • will conduct the activities in accordance with Synergy’s corporate values of innovation, accountability, collaboration and trust
  • holds an account with an Australian financial institution in the organisation’s name, not an individual’s name
